Vacationing in The Florida Keys

The Florida Keys have been a great vacation spot for divers and fishermen for many, many years. They have also been a favorite place of many famous people including Jimmy Buffet and Ernest Hemmingway. If you are vacationing in Florida then you should defiantly consider the keys.

The Florida Keys are just South of Miami Beach Waterfront Homes. They stretch for 113 miles. The southernmost keys are a great place to go if you are looking for a quiet vacation; however once you reach Key West you will find a much more metro atmosphere. It’s a great place to relax and take in the tropics! The upper keys offer a many dive shops and guides as well as great seafood restaurants and condominiums for vacationers. The middle keys are great for family vacationing. There is plenty of diving and fishing spots available as well as beautiful beaches for resting and playing.

The overseas highway connects all of the Keys. It is really not easy to get lost in the Florida Keys, because there is only one way in and one way out! Because of this, traffic can be just plain awful at times; however traffic is less stressful when there is a beautiful ocean on either side of the highway!

The Florida Keys are also home to the largest living coral reef in North America. This is a diver’s dream! Even if you are not a diver you may want to consider taking some diving lessons while vacationing in the Florida Keys. The coral reef is so beautiful that everyone should see it at least once in their life time.

Key West is a great place to visit if you enjoy the lively city life. Key West offers tons of entertainment for vacationers. There are street artists, musicians and jugglers around town. You will also find amazing restaurants. The restaurants is Key West serve some of the freshest fish you have ever eaten.  There is even room for a little education in Key West. Head down to Old Town Key West to take in the rich history and the beautiful architecture.
