Tropical Paradise In The Florida Keys
64
One of the best things about Florida is that it makes a great place to
vacation - even for the people that live there. You can take your pick
from premiere destinations such as Miami
Beach Waterfront, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Sarasota and a host of
others. Whether it is the Panhandle or Southern
Florida, there are several wonderful options available to
you. However, if Southern Florida sounds interesting, you may want to
vacation in the lovely tropical paradise known as the Florida
Keys.
The Keys are compromised of numerous small islands at the tip of Florida. Located
at the very top, Key Largo is considered the
first Key. It is also perhaps the most famous as it has been the subject
of movies and popular songs. The Florida Keys
are surrounded by warm, crystal clear water, attracting the attention of divers
and snorkelers alike. Its glorious ocean waters attribute to Key Largo’s title as the “Diving Capital of the
World”.
The next hot spot down the key chain is the beautiful ocean oasis of
Islamorada. Carrying the moniker as the “Sport Fishing Capital of the
World”, Islamorada is actually made up of six different islands, each being
spectacular in their own unique way. If you love to ride on the water,
this is the Key for you. Islamorada has a team of skilled captains who
will be glad to take you out to see what’s biting in the water. This area
of the Florida Keys is also renown for its
swimming and diving opportunities as well as an impressive museum where you can
discover facts about the history of diving.
Just a short distance past the SevenMileBridge is Big Pine Key, the start of the
Lower Keys where this beautiful network of islands take a gentle turn
west. Big Pine Key is a great place to relax as it is less crowded and
more peaceful than many of the other Keys. Perhaps the best thing about
this island is the popular attraction called the National Key Deer Refuge,
which is the home of the precious and nearly extinct key deer. Bahia
Honda State Park makes another great place to visit, but if you are really
seeking recreational opportunities, then SandspurBeach
is the place to be. Rated #7 in the top 10 Florida
beaches by the Travel Channel, SandspurBeach is perfect for
picnics, swimming, diving, or simply relaxing in the sun.
The Florida Keys are ideal for a honeymoon or
family vacation. You can drive around and see the sights, reel in some
fish, take a dive in the ocean, or chill and relax just about anywhere you want
in the Keys. There are plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining and
dancing the night away. You haven’t truly had a margarita until you’ve
visited the oceanside bars of Key West. If you are looking for a
Caribbean-styled vacation that offers the excitement of South Beach Real Estate and calmness of Clearwater
without leaving the country, your own personal paradise awaits you in the Florida Keys.
