Inexpensive Beach Vacation Ideas

Who doesn't like the idea of a beach vacation...particularly if you live in a cold climate? Unfortunately, that usually means that people travel to the beaches for their holidays in the winter, and that is peak vacation time. But that doesn't mean that you cannot do it. Here are a few inexpensive beach vacation ideas to help you get around it.
The most obvious way is to travel during the off season. That means you stay away from winter, long holiday weekends, spring break, and so forth. However, you may be limited to those times for your own vacation, so the next best thing to do is to shop around for last minute deals and packages. It is very convenient to do this online.
Miami Beach Homes is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year. Their beaches can compete with any in the world; miles of unbroken, white sand, spotted with palm trees, and with a shore covered in beautiful seashells. Yes, the ocean-front hotels are pricey, but there are many budget motels just off the beach.
By taking a package deal, you can often get both your air fare and a lovely hotel room for an easily affordable price. Miami Penthouses beaches do not charge admission fees, so swimming, walking, beach volleyball, and shell collecting don't cost a dime!
A bit further North in Florida you can camp on the beach, for very low rental fees. There are state parks with campsites on the beach where you can sit and watch the dolphins frolicking in the water...how sweet is that? There are even free campsites just thirty minutes from the coast, if your budget is really low.
If you are traveling with children, it is often cheaper to rent an apartment near the beach. Not only is it less expensive than the hotels; it will also let you eat at home instead of all meals at restaurants. You can rent by the week or by the month, and often there is a pool for the kids to play in when you don't feel like going out.
There are so many things to do and see in the Miami area. There are some very luxurious spas, great restaurants, and amazing nightlife...especially in the SouthBeach area. This art deco district is full of clubs and shopping. Totally influenced by the Latin cultures, the food, music, and art are all delightful.
Bud don't think that you have to spend a lot to sightsee or entertain the kids. Collins Avenue has shopping that goes from high end all the way to bargain basement. There is plenty to see if you are interested in the history of Florida, tours by boat or bus in all price ranges (some are included in package deals, and others can be shopped for separately online), and water sports galore.
Fishing is free for children at all times, and there are also free days for adults. Check it out! The Miami Metro Zoo is a must see for the children, with inexpensive admission fees. You can have a fun-filled, inexpensive beach vacation and not spend a fortune...just shop for deals, packages, and discounts.
